With its chinoiserie style, ladder side panels, curved stretchers and rattan wrapping details it makes this chair a stand out piece.

The manufacturer or designer of this chair is unknown to me but it is similar in style to Ficks Reed & McGuire lounge chairs.

The seat and back are woven in a distinct and identifiable pattern, associated with the Danish Modern movement. In the traditional chequerboard pattern using thick seagrass.
